Division of Indian Work

A Tradition Of Caring For American Indians

For more than 60 years, the Division of Indian Work (DIW) has served the needs of urban American Indians. Our main program areas – Healing Spirit, Health ServicesStrengthening Family Circles, and the Youth Leadership Development Program – help families navigate day-to-day challenges and prepare for a healthier future. Our mission is to empower American Indian people through culturally-based education, advocacy, counseling and leadership development. Our values-based goals are to honor American Indian culture, nurture and guide youth, strengthen families and provide basic needs such as food and shelter.

Horizons Unlimited, the DIW food shelf, is working on raising $5,000 toward the Open Your Heart Summer Food Shelf Challenge. All individual donations to Horizons Unlimited during the month of July will be counted toward the challenge, and Horizons Unlimited will receive an award based on how much is raised. Help us stock the food shelf this summer by making a gift designated to Horizons Unlimited today.
